Vegeta-san! Please, please do not be disgusted by my healing of you. [As he moves on to another spot.]

That's not what I meant. [He really hopes he doesn't have to explain it. That will be an awesomely awkward conversation he doesn't want to have.]

Really? Ah, but all that matters right now is your wellbeing, Vegeta-san.

Lee...nevermind. [Note to self: If Dragon Balls ever appear in Luceti, wish for a brain for Lee.

No, forget it, it's not worth it.] Just be quiet and finish so I can be on my way.

Very well. I shall employ the discipline of the ninja in order to stifle the rashness of youth... behold this silence.

[And he silently goes through the burns, while looking increasingly drained.]

[He lets Lee only get so far until Vegeta finally stops him. He can see Lee looking very drained, which is strange to him because Dende has healed him through much worse injuries and not looked quite the way Lee's looking now.]

Stop. If you keep that up you're going to start using your life force and kill yourself that way, moron. [He doesn't know if that's true but it's a good assumption in his book.] A few burns isn't something I can't handle.

Some puzzles were even more dangerous! [Which he is ordinarily sensible about, and afraid in a sensible way. But not this time!]

You live a reckless life - as expected of one living in the spirit of youth! But I still feel concerned. Your arm could be endangered once more!

Is that what you're worried about? Don't be, my arm's fine!

Such a noble youth... But should you be harmed in any way, please allow me to attend to you post-haste!

I'll think about it. Haven't I got all of this magic stuff to protect me now?

Her hand reaches out to hold his to reassure him.]

I couldn't let you exhaust yourself. Not after you helped me. It's okay if you rest here. The grass is soft.

[He takes her hand with a warm blush.]

It... it is? I shall test it... and- and gauge its total softness. [As he slowly lowers himself to the ground.]

You can use my lap as a pillow if you want.

Ah... as long as it is acceptable for you, Shiemi-san.

It's fine! What's important is that you recuperate so you can help other people like you want.

Very well then. [He gives her a soft smile of gratitude as he sprawls out on the ground, to rest his head on the lap of Shiemi.]

[When he settles Shiemi puts a hand gently on his head as if to reassure him it's okay to be there. For some reason something deep inside tells her it's okay to share this level of familiarity with him.]

[And something inside him is telling him this is okay, too, and not inappropriate. Shiemi seems dearer and closer to him in a way different than a lover. So he nestles his head comfortably there and is soon drifting off to a pleasant sleep.]

[Can you hear that dry laughter? It's something that Albert would not allow so easily if he wasn't currently influenced.

But the issue remains there, skin barely recognizable as skin under the light.]

It's a curse -- a wound inflicted by a raging wolf that is no longer in Luceti. Fortunately, it seems that Nala can reverse the damage.

Nala... Yes. That is the power I now wield. Sir, I would like to help you!

[He nods, flexing his fingers with a faint shot of pain. Inwardly, Twila is rather smug at how well this entire plan has been going.]

Since you have demonstrated your healing skill, I will warn you now -- it is a slow process. [Perhaps even frustratingly slow, to the Nala-possessed.

He extends his hand out to the young man.]
