Ninth Gate [Video/Action] Joint with Rapunzel and Ikki!

[Video]

[Rock Lee is framed in front of the forest, facing his open journal. And several feet to either side are none other than Rapunzel and Ikki, both now with their own green jumpsuits. Rapunzel stands tall (as tall as her petite build will let her, anyway) with her hands on her hips, looking intensely off into the middle-distance. Ikki stands short, since she’s several heads taller than the other girl (...whoops), and her own stance is automatically something more native to an airbender, although she’s trying to look serious. She may or may not be trying not to giggle, though. ]

Youth! It is the most passionate and heartbreaking time of our lives. The springtime of youth! And it is a time that need never end. Just look at Gai-Sensei! His youth is preserved with age. And so our youth shall endure through our springtime of youth! Behold! Two of my own students here in Luceti... Rapunzel-san, also known as the Glamorous Yellow Tunneling Horror! And Ikki-chan, the Gracefully Circling Pink Bird of Prey! They are loyal and formidable. As for me, I am Konoha's Beautiful Green Wild Beast, Rock Lee! Together, we represent the future of Luceti!

[He does punches and kicks at the air.]

Yeah, it’s the springtime of youth! [ Ikki sounds fairly enthusiastic, although then she relaxes to derail herself, baffled. ] ...Although actually isn’t it the summertime of youth, ‘cause I’m pretty sure it’s summer... [ She’s not 100% sure what Lee means sometimes. Most times. ]

[ Rapunzel breaks form for a moment, puzzled. Ikki raises a valid point... ] Couldn’t summer be the time of youth, too? Shouldn’t we be youthful all year round?

That is correct! Just as youth is for all times of life, so does the springtime of youth extend for the whole year! [He gives a nice guy pose and then focuses back at the video feed.] Lately, as an extension of our youth, I have focused my training on the attainment of flight. It is a dream many laugh at and mock... much like most youthful dreams of youth! But I see the truth. The other month, the spirits possessed us, and our wings became incredible and graceful! So I believe, more earnestly than ever, that proper training can break us through this chrysalis phase we are currently in... and we shall all become flight-capable youths! Being here for a year, myself... I can almost feel the metamorphosis occurring! Join us if you wish. Let all us like-minded youths assemble... a flying flight club of flying youths!

[And with that, they all make matching nice guy poses - flashing thumbs up to the camera matched with shining smiles.]

[One can also find the three embroiled in a training session in the forest!]

[How can anyone not hear them? The journal alone with them three of them was loud enough but to also be here in the forest?....

Well, as long as they don't go into her nesting area and destroy her nest then it will be good.

Leanne giggles as she was in her heron form. She goes to land on a tree branch nearby by, still giggling at the sight of the three of them.]

Ah, but those wings are far too small for such a feat. [She goes to call out and you know what, she is just gonna hang upside down from that branch..... Never letting go of that branch with those talons to save any and all dignity that she has left. But for now, lets see if any of them can figure out if it was her as the bird that called out to them or not.]

Oh? Who speaks so?

[He spins around madly, trying to find the source of the voice.]

[ Ikki's also looking around - if Soren were in tow, he'd spot the other bird immediately, but...

He's taking a break and hanging out with Appa and Momo and the rest of the Avatar menagerie back at the Avatar House. Lee is a bit intense for him, man.

It's almost like the spot-the-pokemon game she's played before, except not. What's different?

While Ikki doesn't think about the birds speaking in such a useful and clear way - they're chattery like everything here, but not smart - that heron definitely isn't one of the normal birds seen around Luceti. That's a different type, right?

She taps Rapunzel's arm and points, thinking it unrelated to the voice but pretty enough to share. ]

[ Like Lee, Rapunzel is spinning around and looking for the source of the voice - and then she spots the heron when Ikki taps her arm. It sure doesn't look like one of the normal forest birds...how curious. ]

Umm...hello?

[Leanne couldn't help but to giggle again and moves to first let go of the branch and fly a little upwards in order to land properly on the ground.

Two out of three... Not bad.]

Hello my lady. [Leanne responses back to Rapunzel as she walks towards them still as a bird. None of them doesn't seem to recognize her at all..... She could have a little bit of fun teasing them.]

What brings three Beorc nestlings to my forest?

[And he watches the heron come into view - the form he was shown over the journals once. That plus the voice and term "beorc" tips him off. So naturally, he screams out to her in excited greeting.]

LEAAAAANE-SAMAAAAAAAA!!!

This forest falls under your ownership?

What's a beorc - [ Ikki starts to ask before Lee SCREAMS RIGHT NEXT TO HER. Despite knowing him since his arrival and being rather loud herself, Ikki jumps a half-step over towards Rapunzel, startled.

Whoa, now. ]

Leanne...? You've met a bird-lady and you didn't say so?

[ Rapunzel has met certain bird people before, but not this one. She grins, leaning forward to peer at her. ]

Leanne? That's your name? It's great to meet you! I'm Rapunzel.

[OW! OW! Leanne winces as Lee shouts and was about to say something before notices Rapunzel leaning forward towards the Heron.]

Yes it is, my lady. It is my highest honor and pleasure to meet you as well, my lady Rapunzel.

[Okay, the fun is over and a bright light covers Leanne as she shifts back into her normal form, stretching out both pairs of wings. She goes to smile at the two girls before giggling at Lee.]

I don't but I thought that I could have had some fun and tease you guys a little, my lord Lee.

[But now to face the three of them properly and offers them a curtsey.]

As my lord Lee has already stated, I am Leanne, princess of the Heron clan.

Ikki-chan, I did not mention her because I did not believe it was relevant at all to our task.

[Lee gives a righteous bow.]

It is a pleasure to see you once more, Leanne-sama! How have you been?

I'm Ikki! I'm not a princess except when I feel like it.

[ also when she has her plastic crown. It's at home right now. ]

It's super nice to meet you Leanne! And I think it's relevant, 'cause heron-princesses know how to fly, right?

[ Oooh. Another princess? How wonderful! ]

I'm a princess! [ SHE DOESN'T MEET OTHER PRINCESSES VERY OFTEN this is important. ] We'll definitely have to talk about princessing sometime. But now, we're learning how to fly!

Oh my, so I am in the presense of not just one but two princesses? (Leanne goes to offer them another curtsey, half cupping herself with her wings, smiling first at Ikki before focusing on the other two.)

I am glad that the Goddes has allowed us to meet us once, my lord Lee.

You are as well, my lady Rapunzel? Yes, we should speak of such things as I am curious as how a Beorc princess is like compared to one of my race.

(And then on the subject of flying and Leanne let's out a small sigh.)

Your wings are not big enough but.... I can try and show you how I fly with my wings. (She goes to turn around in order to show them her Heron wings as well as her Luceti wings.)

I suppose that I've become a tutor of princesses! I am glad to meet you again as well, Leanne-sama.

[And when she turns around, he carefully looks over dem wings and steps closer.]

I understand - your wings are of a different, more mature nature! But perhaps by observing you, we can find something to apply to ourselves!

Yeah! Like how the first people made gliders by watching the birds.

[ Rapunzel nods at Ikki and Lee's words. ]

One of the best ways to learn is by example, after all!

Then I guess that you three will have to watch me closely then. But first.... (Turning around to face them.)

May I be as to request that I see how much you can control your own wings?

Ah...

TEAM! LET US DISPLAY OUR WING'S CAPABILITIES!

[So Lee turns around, squints and focuses... to make tiny little flaps of his wings.]

[ OH, YES, time for a dazzling display of prowess!!!

...Ikki flaps her tiny wings as best she can. They flutter fairly uselessly. This is actually something she's tried before, because when you are seven and have wings of course you try to make them do things. ]

[ Rapunzel's face scrunches up as she flutters her wings. Much easier without her hair, now. But still, not a task she's used to performing. ]

I suppose it's not much...

(All of the fail wing fluttering and flapping and the strained faces to make the wings do just that little, elicts a small sigh from Leanne.)

Please forgive my boldness but continue to do so while I do this.

(She goes to Beorc to Beorc now while they flap and flutter and goes to attempt to touch around the chest/side area to try and feel which muscles they are using to perform the feat.)

It isn't much but it is still much more than what a normal Beorc can do, my lady.

[And he just stands like that, continuing to flap with an intense stare while not seeming to mind at all as Leanne does her thing.]

[ SHRUGS. ]

[ Rapunzel watches Leanne intently while she continues to flap her wings, eager to learn whatever she can. ]
