[Rock Lee nods and smirks as he slides into a fighting stance with confidence.]

Of course! I am honored to fight by your side, Nonon-san!

[He stares ahead, ready to tackle at the beast again the next time it jumps. Otherwise, he'll see what Nonon's first move is and then work with that.]

Two versus one isn't a very fair fight, is it? Luckily, I have no intentions of playing fair.

[ She lifts her head peering beneath the brim of her shako, eyes alight with fire. But it's not the beast jumping at them that she sees, but instead it's that spiky tail it has whipping through the brush, cracking the air as it tears through a tree. If they don't move it's going to hit them. And probably slice them in two as well.

Except Nonon is quick. Using the tip of her baton she vaults up and over the thing, having to quickly use one hand to hold down her skirt as she lands back on the ground. ]

Alright you dumb shinobi, time to show me what you're made of. Go get it's attention with a lively display.

I won't let you down!

[He sees the coming of the spiky tail and flips up into the air to avoid it!

And as he descends, he prepares his dazzling display. He moves his fall so that he heads straight for the monster's face! Then he unleashes a flurry of kicks while trying to avoid the beast's jaws.]

Konoha Whirlwind!

[ It's impressive to say the least. FOR AN AMATEUR.

Well no not really, Nonon can't help but raise an eyebrow at the boy's actual display of skill. Though she has her own job to focus on instead of just being a spectator for the green flash over here. ]

Not bad, but you're still ten thousand years too early to keep up with my tempo.

[ With a flick of her wrist she cuts right through a tree overhanging the giant lizard, bringing down the house right on top of it, all ten tons of the thick tree. ]

That long?! I would train for every second of it to be the very best that I can!

[That is one thick-ass tree

Lee does move back very swiftly to make sure that he's not caught under it. Then he stops for a moment to admire the sight.]

That was very impressive, Nonon-san! [He gives a thumbs up and glances towards the creature uncertainly, trying to ascertain its condition.]

Was that... the finishing blow?!

It had better be, I don't feel like getting any dirtier than I have to.

[ It's a jungle, these aren't no palm trees! Nonon's happy with her handiwork, even if there's a squashed giant lizard now. Luckily there's no mess to deal with on her clothes... ]

You weren't so bad yourself. You take directions well.

[Are they actually making it through a thread unscathed...

Rock Lee looks very pleased and even more so with Nonon's praise.]

Thank you, Nonon-san! I am glad to hear that! As a shinobi, I always do my best to follow the orders and plans of my comrades and superiors!

[He flashes her a thumbs up.]

I am very glad that things turned out so well! You were very splendid, Nonon-san!

[ It's too soon to think they are safe. ]

If you follow my plans then I can be promise you that you'll see even grander victories.

[ Is that an offer of alliance? Or a job?? ]

[ And though they might feel safe, and glad they beat their opponent, there's a VERY loud buzzing noise above them that's making it hard to focus. ]

[Rock Lee nods diligently and salutes her.]

I promise!! I'll follow your exact words and strategies!

[But he pauses as he hears the buzzing noise. And he looks up at the air above them, trying to locate the source.]

What...?

Good. If you keep it up I might even make you my number two.

[ She sounds proud of that, as if it's something any sane person would actually want to be.. and not just a code word for "my slave."

But in the meantime there's pressing matters to attend to. Like the bathtub sized mosquitoes with long proboscid that look like needles the size of a pool skimmer.

Suffice to say Nonon isn't very pleased with this new development. ]

W-What the hell did you do?!

N-number two?! [Lee finds that to be so exciting! But then, he always enjoys serving others and finding praise from it.

But then he does look right up towards the giant mosquitoes in shock.]

Ack! I do not know, Nonon-san... I do not recall doing anything that could have attracted them!

[He could leap up and start attacking them... but he did decide to only act on Nonon's orders. So he only slides into a fighting stance, frantically.]

What should I do?!

[ He can be excited about it, but it also means that if they are running away, that means he's expecting to become bait so she can get away. ...Not that she will be mentioning this fact out loud. That will be for him to figure out. ]

Blow them all away, you Eyebrowed Tornado!!

[ She even slices her baton through the air, pointing at the buzzing and fidgeting mosquitoes, that have decided to start flying straight for them! ]

Yosh!! [He agrees loudly and proudly, then he immediately springs into action! He moves swiftly to avoid the giant needle points they bare and smashes into one with a fist. Then he tries bouncing from mosquito to mosquito very quickly, rinsing and repeating as he punches and kicks to knock the bugs out of the sky.]

[ Nonon directs from below, cutting her baton through the air and pointing out new targets. ]

Left! Right! Above! Don't fall behind!

[ And the one or two that manage past her protoge's defenses are met with her own attacks, that baton making quick work of the oversized bugs.. only to have Nonon grossed out and flicking the guts off her instrument. ]

Ugh, these things are disgusting...

[Swish and flick, Nonon! Swish and flick!

Lee, who is apparently now a protege, keeps up his relentless barrage.]

Please do not worry, Nonon-san! I won't let you down!!

[As he keeps up his assault, he narrowly avoids getting pierced, but occasionally receives scathing cuts. He keeps bouncing off of the ones he eats to stay up in the air, and the defeated mosquitoes drop down to the ground like flies. ...Very oversized flies.]

[ Nonon's making beautiful music here, she knows exactly what to do!

Except by music, I mean she's tearing these disgusting creatures apart and littering the ground with their corpses. ...She really hates bugs ok.

Soon enough either they run out of enemies, or the bugs realize this isn't all that smart to continue to attack, and give the two a small respite, with Nonon sinking down to her knees on the grass below her. ]

I hate this stupid jungle!!!

[Once the enemies are defeated, Rock Lee flips back down and lands on his feet with his arms raised in a proud cheer.]

We did it!!

[But then he notices Nonon's outburst and he runs to her side.]

Nonon-san!! All will be well! I know that the conditions may be difficult, but... I am prepared for this! I will do anything that I cam to help!
