[Lee is back in action on a brand new day. In the morning, before performing his usual workouts, he takes some time to prepare curried chicken soup to deliver to Rapunzel, assuming she still has her cold. And afterwards, amongst his jogs around the village and general intense workout routines, he takes some more time to prepare for his and Sora's Christmas plan.

Ever since that talk with Sora, Lee has set a new goal for himself and has started undergoing preparations. He doubts that this "Santa" will show up here in Luceti; so he plots to become Santa. He stops at the library and reads several books to get ideas of what different worlds and cultures think of this man, who must be nothing other than a Hokage-class ninja. Maybe even more powerful... His other stops include the item and clothing shops to collect accessories associated with this holiday, often with not-so-subtle attempts to be covert. He may spend some time people watching for signs of actions both benevolent or dubious. And finally, he spends some time running along the beach to collect as many seashells as he can carry to help Sora make them into what he calls "wayfinders".

But even so, he feels uneasy about this plan. What if there are key parts of Santa's legacy he is missing? How is he supposed to determine the difference between nice and naughty? And what if they want something other than seashells? So he decides to take to the journals, without playing his hand.]

Rock Lee here! Konoha's Beautiful Green Wild Beast! And I come with good news for this holiday season. I have it on good authority that the one known as "Santa" shall be arriving for the beloved Christmas holiday! And - and I am doing my best to act as his ears, eyes, mouth and every other body part! So, I will accept any intelligence that you have freely. For example, the sleeping schedules of yourselves and others, and who you would classify as "nice" or "naughty", including your own honest assessment of yourself. Finally, what would your ideal Christmas present be? I can communicate all of your wishes to the mighty Santa-sama all in due time!

No one's on that floor and it's the highest one. There's people in the building though so that might be a problem.

But there's also house 58. No one even lives there.

The house sounds like the more viable option. People are much less likely to stumble upon our project in that structure.

Yeah, you're right. We'll have to keep it quiet though. Probably only go at night.

Of course! This sounds like the best way to properly maintain our veil of utmost secrecy.

Yes, Sora-kun! That sounds solid. By then, we should have sufficient materials! And I shall also work on acquiring other gifts that people desire. The journal has been most helpful in determining such things!

And no one's caught on yet that we'll be giving them presents?

For the most part... one or two seem to have perhaps caught on, but they are trusted with my secrets.

Aw man, really? Who are they?

Ah - well they are primarily aware that we may help Santa-sama in some manner. My trusted friends Shikamaru-kun, Ino-san and Neji have caught on. And I did not know Riku-kun was a friend of yours!

[Still not as good as keeping it a secret.]

Huh? Oh yeah, Riku's my best friend actually!

He is? Why, that must be a powerful bond, indeed!

Uh huh. We've grown up together and we've been through a lot.

I don't think I'd be the person I am today if it weren't partly because of him.

[After all all the people he's connected helped him.]

Ah... I am reminded of my dear friend, Neji! I would never be as skilled as I am today were it not for his example, which is a strength I have always sought to surpass! Is Riku-kun your rival as well?

Yeah he kind of is, sort of.

[They kind of put the rivalry away after the second game in his opinion. But you know, now and then they do compete.]

We used to always challenge each other as kids. Riku used to win most of the time though. But didn't stop me from trying to beat him.

[He grips Sora's shoulders.]

Sora-kun... The passionate friendships of youth truly run parallel! Nothing can ever stop be from from attempting to best Neji! It is true that we share the bonds of teammates, but ever since we were younger, surpassing him, who has always been a genius of a ninja, has always been my ultimate goal to prove myself! To be friends and rivals, it is truly a wonderful thing!

Yeah, I guess it is. We've always pushed each other to be our best.

[Riku said it once too...but at a time in their friendship when things weren't really good. That's what happens when you go to the dark side.]

Most inspiring, Sora-kun! [And he slaps one of Sora's shoulders before releasing them.] And in doing so, we all gradually improve. I must defeat him one day, in order to prove that hard work can overcome natural genius!

[That kind of catches Sora. What did he mean hardwork overcomes natural genius? But thinking about it it was kind of the same with him and Riku. Riku was always good at fighting and Sora was just second to him.]

Yeah, I can understand that. I'm sure you will.

Thank you, Sora-kun. Perhaps this quest shall help me to get even closer! And I am certain that you can draw closer to your own goals as well.

I know we will. Our friends give us strength and push us to do our best. So doing this is kind of a test I guess.

Of course. It's not hard at all if you really believe in it.
