Ninth Gate [Video/Action] Joint with Rapunzel and Ikki!

[Video]

[Rock Lee is framed in front of the forest, facing his open journal. And several feet to either side are none other than Rapunzel and Ikki, both now with their own green jumpsuits. Rapunzel stands tall (as tall as her petite build will let her, anyway) with her hands on her hips, looking intensely off into the middle-distance. Ikki stands short, since she’s several heads taller than the other girl (...whoops), and her own stance is automatically something more native to an airbender, although she’s trying to look serious. She may or may not be trying not to giggle, though. ]

Youth! It is the most passionate and heartbreaking time of our lives. The springtime of youth! And it is a time that need never end. Just look at Gai-Sensei! His youth is preserved with age. And so our youth shall endure through our springtime of youth! Behold! Two of my own students here in Luceti... Rapunzel-san, also known as the Glamorous Yellow Tunneling Horror! And Ikki-chan, the Gracefully Circling Pink Bird of Prey! They are loyal and formidable. As for me, I am Konoha's Beautiful Green Wild Beast, Rock Lee! Together, we represent the future of Luceti!

[He does punches and kicks at the air.]

Yeah, it’s the springtime of youth! [ Ikki sounds fairly enthusiastic, although then she relaxes to derail herself, baffled. ] ...Although actually isn’t it the summertime of youth, ‘cause I’m pretty sure it’s summer... [ She’s not 100% sure what Lee means sometimes. Most times. ]

[ Rapunzel breaks form for a moment, puzzled. Ikki raises a valid point... ] Couldn’t summer be the time of youth, too? Shouldn’t we be youthful all year round?

That is correct! Just as youth is for all times of life, so does the springtime of youth extend for the whole year! [He gives a nice guy pose and then focuses back at the video feed.] Lately, as an extension of our youth, I have focused my training on the attainment of flight. It is a dream many laugh at and mock... much like most youthful dreams of youth! But I see the truth. The other month, the spirits possessed us, and our wings became incredible and graceful! So I believe, more earnestly than ever, that proper training can break us through this chrysalis phase we are currently in... and we shall all become flight-capable youths! Being here for a year, myself... I can almost feel the metamorphosis occurring! Join us if you wish. Let all us like-minded youths assemble... a flying flight club of flying youths!

[And with that, they all make matching nice guy poses - flashing thumbs up to the camera matched with shining smiles.]

The ninja can perform many functions! Being a shinobi of the party... perhaps that can be acceptable!

[And he turns to Rapunzel.]

If you wish, Rapunzel-san, you can learn such a party hat placement jutsu beside Ikki-chan! You can even practice on each other. [It's amusing. The party hat placement no justu was a one-time joke, but he can see it as a valuable training exercise as well!] The sharpened reflexes to result will only make our flying ultimately smoother!

[It all comes together!]

[How can anyone not hear them? The journal alone with them three of them was loud enough but to also be here in the forest?....

Well, as long as they don't go into her nesting area and destroy her nest then it will be good.

Leanne giggles as she was in her heron form. She goes to land on a tree branch nearby by, still giggling at the sight of the three of them.]

Ah, but those wings are far too small for such a feat. [She goes to call out and you know what, she is just gonna hang upside down from that branch..... Never letting go of that branch with those talons to save any and all dignity that she has left. But for now, lets see if any of them can figure out if it was her as the bird that called out to them or not.]

[Steve isn't sure how to reply at the first. The overall idea has it's appeal. But it's easy to miss the purpose of this broadcast if you get too caught up in the very Lee-like presentation.

However Steve has had enough interactions with him through sparring that he's able to over look all of that.]

It sounds like a good idea. But how are you planning to go about this?

Ooooh, that sounds like a fun type of ninja! That's totally what we are.

[ And then, to Rapunzel: ] We should switch off!!! You an' I can practice it together then. I'm going to learn to do it and surprise Grandpa sometime!

Oh? Who speaks so?

[He spins around madly, trying to find the source of the voice.]

[ Ooooh, a wolf! Not as big as the one grandpa introduced to her once, but..a really pretty one, with Luceti-wings! That probably meant the wolf wasn't normal, since pets and the like didn't get those. ]

Hiiiiiiii! Are you new? Wow, look how pretty! [ She's not going to pet Ammy off the bat because wolf but Ikki's vibrating with excitement. ] I'm Ikki and this is Lee and Rapunzel! Or wait should I have given our titles? Lee, am I supposed to give titles now?

Well, Steven-san! Hardwork, endurance! By training hard, we can help to speed up this evolutionary process! Don't you agree, Rapunzel-san and Ikki chan?!

[ Ikki's giving it her all, although she still thinks airbending flying counts. She waves cheerfully, recognizing the girl from a brief conversation last year, although she realizes this Hinata won't remember that. ]

Heyyyyyy! The more the merrier, right?

[ Man, Ikki's grandpa sure can't meet a lot of her friends. Like Ralph, who left, Lee, that Kurt guy she talked to at the Cultural Fair... ]

He means with the wings, 'cause I can already do it without. [ CLARIFICATION. ] Hey Uncle Zuko! Have you met Lee? Oh, and this is Rapunzel. Guys, this is Zuko! He lives at our house and bends fire and is grandpa's Sifu.

[ WOW THERE SURE IS A LOT OF CRYING...Ikki elbows Rapunzel (gently!) looking at her with raised eyebrows. Should they like do something??? What do you do when adults cry??? Granted this is Lee and Gai but...

No wait it's Lee and Gai she can probably just ignore this! ]

Thanks!! It's been really fun spending time with Lee. And Rapunzel, of course! And hi, Mr. Gai! I think we met once before, right?

[ Ikki's also looking around - if Soren were in tow, he'd spot the other bird immediately, but...

He's taking a break and hanging out with Appa and Momo and the rest of the Avatar menagerie back at the Avatar House. Lee is a bit intense for him, man.

It's almost like the spot-the-pokemon game she's played before, except not. What's different?

While Ikki doesn't think about the birds speaking in such a useful and clear way - they're chattery like everything here, but not smart - that heron definitely isn't one of the normal birds seen around Luceti. That's a different type, right?

She taps Rapunzel's arm and points, thinking it unrelated to the voice but pretty enough to share. ]

Isn't evolution something that happens over a long time? I think Sifu Raine told us about that.

[ BUT LOGIC ISN'T IMPORTANT HERE. ]

But yeah! It's not like anything's really impossible in Luceti!

[Jack was out for a stroll in the woods with his tiny blue ox when he came across... well. This.]

[Lee is simply aghast at this insult. It was that man with the confusing phrases, who had such an odd opinion of Japan.]

[ Ikki is the most easily distracted soldier, especially when it comes to animals. Miniature animals especially. ]

What's his name? Her name? Aren't you the cutest thing ever, yes you are!

[ Rapunzel's expression distinctly sours at the sight of one Jack Horner, though his little blue ox seemed rather charming.

STILL, SHE WILL NOT BE SWAYED BY CHARMING ANIMALS. Especially when he comes insulting them, right out of the gate! ]

A-HEM! And what would you know about youth, Mr. Horner?

[It was in fact Jack that was infinitely more charming than his quadropedic counterpart. Whereas Babe was imagining himself taking the first steps on the Moon for all oxkind, Jack was being his normal self. Which meant, of course, being fantastic. For instance, Jack was wearing nothing but an ordinary pair of blue jeans and a T-Shirt that said 'Sexy' on it. His shirt told no lies, though. Because Jack fit into his clothes in much the same way a god fit into a toga. His posture was perfect and not a single hair was askew, save for the ones that were supposed to be. Even his stubble was a perfect amount to make him look rugged, but far from gross. The sunlight seemed to brighten in their spot of the woods merely by his presence.

His hair shimmered.]

First, forget the blue pig. I know more about youth than you three combined. Endeavor your hearts out, but all I see are three clowns practicing the loudest Yoga I've ever seen.

[ Well, his hair was shimmery...but it wasn't blue. Ikki's still more interested in the animal, and she's going to crouch down by the blue mini-ox and hold out a hand. Nice ox?

Still, she'll chime in after Lee speaks. Although it's again...not the most helpful. Thought she Gets It a bit more than Lee, his sidetracked train of thought is easily taken up. ]

Yeah, they have to paint their faces and stuff!

[ Like seriously, she is so legitimately enthused about this idea now. ]

[She can't talk, nope. But she moves closer, quite pleased. She didn't expect any of them to recognize a god when they saw one, so she barked again while blooming more flowers to impress them.]

[ Oh, another friend of Aang's? Well, any friend of Aang and Ikki is a friend to Rapunzel. ]

Hello! It's nice to meet you. [ And then to Ikki: ] He should join the art club!

[ Rapunzel doesn't much feel like crying herself. Should she??? The two of them are so impassioned...she exchanges looks with Ikki, before producing a handkerchief from somewhere in her ensemble. She holds it out for Lee. ]

It's good to see you again, Gai! Lee has been a great teacher, I assure you.
