First Gate [Video/Action]

[Video]

[The video feed suddenly kicks in with the sound of rushing winds and the sight of a blue sky. And soon, falling into view is bushy-browed teenager with a bowlcut, confusion and panic written all over his face.

Upon arrival, Rock Lee and his book open have begun freefalling through the sky to towards the village. Lee keeps his eyes focused on the open book and pushes himself through the air to get a closer look. Just enough to tell that it's some kind of communication device... and that it seems to be recording his face, and his movements.

Can they hear him, too? A million thoughts rush through his head. What happened? Where did everyone go? Why am I floating through the sky? Somebody help me down! But... if people could see him, he wouldn't want to look weak, would he? He's Rock Lee, after all. The Green Beast of Konoha. He can figure out a way out of this.

What would Gai Sensei do?

So he opts to force on a smile, one full of shining teeth, and he flashes a thumbs up towards the camera and shouts as loud as he can.]

DYNAMIC... ENTRY!

[Lee can find his way down. After all, his training weights are gone. He feels so light.]

[Action]

[If anyone misses out on the high-paced action, they can find Lee after he lands - either traveling to the item shop for his headband, weights and equipment or to the clothing shop for his valued green jumpsuit and vest. He'll also jog around to survey the village and some of the forest afterwards, eager to greet his new neighbors in the process.]

Do you remember how you ended up falling from the sky, Lee? [ He actually doesn't know... ] Just, check the wings on your back. I'll explain that and this place and the things about it. Just-! [ She starts summoning weapons en masse. If only she had the Bashosen so she could create some sort of wind barrier to level him down. ]

Well, its a bit of an odd story. About twenty years ago, my then boyfriend Reed, my brother Johnny, and our friend Ben went on a scientific mission together, and there was an accident. We were exposed to a rare form of energy that changed our bodies into something different.

[She smiles. This story was one she found easier to tell each time]

I can make those fields you felt, and become invisible. Reed, my husband, can stretch his body however he wants. My brother can make his body into fire, and Ben's body is super strong and made of stone. In my world, we're heroes called the Fantastic Four.

Trust me! I'm a PRINCESS!

[And princesses don't lie. They kick ass and take names, and save people falling from the sky. Rapunzel winds up her hair and tosses it to the distant tree, where it knots up. Now jumping, swinging--and hopefully catching him mid-fall as she swings by her hair.]

A... prince-

[And then he is suddenly caught in the arms of this small girl, slightly freaking out.]

You are a heroic princess!

[Small, BUT SURPRISINGLY STRONG. She's built up some impressive biceps from all that haircercise of hers.]

I know!! This is so EXCITING!

[And don't mind her cackle-laughing like a mad woman as they swing towards the tree...and appear to be on a collision course.]

Ah... watch out for that-!

[In a panic, Rock Lee extends his leg and smashes the tree with a kick.]

I don't know how I got here! It must be some trick of Madara's. A genjutsu? But... why would I have wings on my back? [And why does his back feel sore, anyhow?]

That is no problem! I shall wait as long as it takes and mentally prepare myself to meet such vigorous men!

Ah, youth is but one aspect of my training. What I practice is known as taijutsu. It is the art of hand-to-hand combat and part of the ninja arts. Many people can learn, but it is very difficult and intense training!

Oh my GOODNESS!

[She almost uses one of those exciting words Adele taught her but told her not to say. She does not. And instead of getting a faceful of bark, the land pleasantly in the branches of the now-felled tree. Never mind her hair is tangled, well...everywhere.]

That was amazing! How did you do that?

[He gags for a moment and removes some hair that was caught in his mouth.]

I have spent most of my life training in taijutsu and putting my body's abilities to their limits. I assure you, after all I've gone through, breaking through that tree was no difficult task.

That sound so... remarkable! Unbelievable! It sounds completely unlike any type of chakra that I have heard of.

Chakra? I'm not sure what that is, Rock-san. But, my family is pretty remarkable. We're sort of the first team of super heroes.

[She's definitely PROUD of what they've become]

[Rapunzel gets to her feet and starts yanking on her tangled hair, before REMEMBERING HER MANNERS and offers him a hand.]

Wow, that's incredible! [What in the world is taijutsu?] I've never met a person who could smash a tree before! Is that what tai-jut-su means? Tree smashing?

Chakra is the physical and spiritual energy within one's body that can be shaped to create techniques! But it sounds like your "world" [still odd from him] must use something different. And you say you are a... super hero? [He gasps.] I never conceived of a rank beyond a normal hero!

[He smiles and gratefully accepts the hand. Although some of her hair may have gotten caught in his wings...]

You misunderstand, Miss. Taijutsu is the art of physical combat! By constantly strengthening my body to the peak of its potential and beyond, I have become capable of such feats. But please forgive my manners. I must thank you for your assistance. I am Rock Lee, of Konoha!

It does. There are quite a few people we call...Metahumans? A lot of them are heroes, like the Fantastic Four. There are also villains though. Metahumans are people who've been altered in some way. Born differently, or exposed to things like me, or have studied magic or martial arts.

[He pauses for a moment. It's still so hard to conceive that he is not just in some obscure village of his world. That home is on some unreachable other planet. He should at least humor this girl... but at least he has enough insight to spare her from the more traumatic details.]

My world is divided into multiple nations, but there are five primary ones. Similar to your world, they are each affiliated with an element: the Land of Fire, Land of Wind, Land of Water, Land of Lightning and Land of Earth. Each is ruled by a landlord, but each also contains a hidden village where the ninjas live. The ninjas do... lots of secret, special missions for the landlords, and the head ninja of the village is called the kage.

Shikamaru-san and myself both hail from Konoha Village, located in the Land of Fire. And our leader if the Hokage. That is where I learned from the most important person of my life, Gai Sensei. He is my mentor and brought me so far along my way of the ninja! I owe him everything for his passionate mentorship and the morals he has dispensed about the ways of youth!

Was Gai-Sensei everyone's ninja teacher in Konoha?

[The remaining clones disperse the moment Lee hugs Naruto, with the latter grunting under his breath. He was not expecting a brohug, he can just... awkwardly pat Lee on the back.]

O-OI, I HAVEN'T DONE ANY OF THAT YET!

WHAT DO YOU MEAN, NARUTO-KUN? THE LAST I HEARD OF YOU WAS YOUR HEROIC BATTLE AGAINST MADARA ALONGSIDE GAI SENSEI AND THE OTHERS!

Oh, ninja arts..! No way, that really is too difficult for me, no way I could ever be a real ninja.. that sucks, I wanted to look as cool as you did too!

Oh no, there are multiple ninja teachers throughout the village who are of "jounin" rank, and there is even a ninja school. Once we leave the ninja school, we all become part of three-person teams with one mentor teaching us. My team contained Neji Hinata and Tenten. But Gai Sensei has always looked after me, ever since I was a failure.

Magic and martial arts? Ah, this is so strange. So instead of any type of ninja system, there are all of these "metahumans" who become heroes or villains? In my human, weird abilities are simply arts you learn, without needing "magic" or changes to your physical structure.

Please don't worry, Miss! There are infinite ways to take advantage of your own springtime of youth, and I am sure you can find the right method that can make you look cool, if the way of the ninja is too arduous for you.
