First Gate [Video/Action]

[Video]

[The video feed suddenly kicks in with the sound of rushing winds and the sight of a blue sky. And soon, falling into view is bushy-browed teenager with a bowlcut, confusion and panic written all over his face.

Upon arrival, Rock Lee and his book open have begun freefalling through the sky to towards the village. Lee keeps his eyes focused on the open book and pushes himself through the air to get a closer look. Just enough to tell that it's some kind of communication device... and that it seems to be recording his face, and his movements.

Can they hear him, too? A million thoughts rush through his head. What happened? Where did everyone go? Why am I floating through the sky? Somebody help me down! But... if people could see him, he wouldn't want to look weak, would he? He's Rock Lee, after all. The Green Beast of Konoha. He can figure out a way out of this.

What would Gai Sensei do?

So he opts to force on a smile, one full of shining teeth, and he flashes a thumbs up towards the camera and shouts as loud as he can.]

DYNAMIC... ENTRY!

[Lee can find his way down. After all, his training weights are gone. He feels so light.]

[Action]

[If anyone misses out on the high-paced action, they can find Lee after he lands - either traveling to the item shop for his headband, weights and equipment or to the clothing shop for his valued green jumpsuit and vest. He'll also jog around to survey the village and some of the forest afterwards, eager to greet his new neighbors in the process.]

[She knows not what a jutsu is, but hair jutsu, yes. She'll go with that.]

I do! Can you see it? [She thinks he might have caught sight of him. She's on her feet now, figuring out the logistics...]

[This must be a ninja of the highest caliber.]

I can see it! I... I have never seen hair so long and golden!

[That is absolutely correct.]

Alright, hold on! If I can lasso it to that tree, I should be able to swing and catch you!

[He looks down and realizes he's all the closer.]

Please... please be careful! I do not wish for you to be hurt on accident, Miss!

Trust me! I'm a PRINCESS!

[And princesses don't lie. They kick ass and take names, and save people falling from the sky. Rapunzel winds up her hair and tosses it to the distant tree, where it knots up. Now jumping, swinging--and hopefully catching him mid-fall as she swings by her hair.]

A... prince-

[And then he is suddenly caught in the arms of this small girl, slightly freaking out.]

You are a heroic princess!

[Small, BUT SURPRISINGLY STRONG. She's built up some impressive biceps from all that haircercise of hers.]

I know!! This is so EXCITING!

[And don't mind her cackle-laughing like a mad woman as they swing towards the tree...and appear to be on a collision course.]

Ah... watch out for that-!

[In a panic, Rock Lee extends his leg and smashes the tree with a kick.]

Oh my GOODNESS!

[She almost uses one of those exciting words Adele taught her but told her not to say. She does not. And instead of getting a faceful of bark, the land pleasantly in the branches of the now-felled tree. Never mind her hair is tangled, well...everywhere.]

That was amazing! How did you do that?

[He gags for a moment and removes some hair that was caught in his mouth.]

I have spent most of my life training in taijutsu and putting my body's abilities to their limits. I assure you, after all I've gone through, breaking through that tree was no difficult task.

[Rapunzel gets to her feet and starts yanking on her tangled hair, before REMEMBERING HER MANNERS and offers him a hand.]

Wow, that's incredible! [What in the world is taijutsu?] I've never met a person who could smash a tree before! Is that what tai-jut-su means? Tree smashing?

[He smiles and gratefully accepts the hand. Although some of her hair may have gotten caught in his wings...]

You misunderstand, Miss. Taijutsu is the art of physical combat! By constantly strengthening my body to the peak of its potential and beyond, I have become capable of such feats. But please forgive my manners. I must thank you for your assistance. I am Rock Lee, of Konoha!

[Oh, dear. She's really very nervous about tugging her hair out of his wings--she remembers how painful they can be when you first arrive.]

Umm--! Oh, you're very welcome! It's nice to meet you, Rockly. [She's a little distracted by her hair situation, but she still reaches out for a hand shake.] I'm Rapunzel!

[He gives a firm handshake.]

It is a pleasure to meet you, Rapunzel-san! Ah... excuse me, something feels funny on my back...

Oh--I'm sorry! It's probably my hair in your wings...

[She's just going to edge around him and try to gently untangle her hair. Oh, dear. She does feel quite sorry about this. So much that she doesn't even think about how wings aren't exactly normal for people showing up.]

Wings? I do not have any wings, do I look like a cursed seal use-

[But he turns as he says this to try to see the aching on his back. He catches the wings and shrieks.]

[Oh. Oh, dear. Rapunzel frets and pats him gently on the shoulder as she continues to unwind her hair.]

I know it's a bit shocking at first...but they really do look lovely! Look--mine are blue!

[She whirls around to show him underneath her curtain of hair, probably not helping the tangled situation at all.]

[He stares for a moment, but the tugging of her hair does increase his irritation.]

They are beautiful, Rapunzel-san! My own wings are pained by their beauty!

How kind of you to say! [She answers cheerfully as she tries to reduce the increasing pain she's causing him. Just about got them loose now...]

It.. is only a common courtesy! [He fidgets as the loosening occurs.]

It's still kind of you to say! [She insists--there. Her hair is loose...from his wings. It's still quite a bit snarled in the fallen tree.] Um--! Welcome to Luceti!

[He's still wincing a bit, but he puts on a grin.]

Thank you, Rapunzel-san! But, ah... where am I?

Luceti! Oh--that's this place, I mean. I know it's all very, um, confusing! When you first show up, but...

[She is probably one of the worst people to do the intro spiel.]

There's a bakery! We could go there. ...Or! You could use new clothes, right?

[He looks on thoughtfully.]

I am hungry... [But then he blinks] But is there something wrong with my clot- [He looks down as he says this and realizes he's wearing only New Feather clothes. Lee blushes and covers his chest.]

I'm truly sorry, I do not know how I came to be in such a disgraceful state of undress!

[It's a disgraceful state of undress? Hm. Rapunzel was not aware of this. She is learning many new things today.]

It's not your fault! The Malnoses make everyone show up in new clothes. But we can find you your regular ones if you like!
