Second Gate [Video/Action]

[Video]

[The video feed clicks on to show this young ninja grinning exuberantly. He's happy to be on the ground instead of falling from the sky into different timelines this time around.]

Greetings, people of Luceti! My name is Rock Lee. I am a ninja from the village of Konoha, and I am also known as the "Green Beast of Konoha". I have been here for around two months now, and I am ashamed to realize that I have never made a proper introduction over the journal. Please forgive me for being so impolite. I assure you all that, as I have served Konoha in the past, here I shall also risk my life to protect any of you from threats, to the greatest of my abilities!

Although most of my time is dedicated to my intense and vigorous study, being caught in the springtime of youth has also made me inclined to constantly seek out new bonds to form with comrades. I anticipate many a new friend, so please converse with me! Lastly, let me tell you my 'way of the ninja': I believe that when it comes to abilities, "hard work" can overcome "genius"! Please, tell me what you think about it.

[He then flashes the camera a nice guy pose - a thumbs up accompanied by a shining smile.]

[Voice: Filtered to Sasuke - 50 % hackable]

[He just... breathes heavily for several moments, not knowing what to say at all. Then he panics and cuts off the feed.]

[Action]

[Lee can be come across almost anywhere, as his daily jogs take him all over the place. He will spend a majority of the day training at the Battle Dome, however. Feel free to observe and approach him as he constantly sets up new simulations for himself. All this simulated training is the closest to the effect of an addictive drug that he'll be experiencing.]

Ah, of course, it is better to stick to one's own skills rather than imitating others, anyway. [Like those pesky Sharingan users.] Many of my abilities are similar to that which you just witnessed. Taijutsu involves a variety of different punching and kicking techniques. I would also say that I am faster than most people! There are also some more advanced mores at my disposal, but... as a ninja, I should not be speaking of them this openly, should I?

[She listens intently, but a smile forms under her mask after the comment about being ninjas.]

Unless you see us being enemies. But, I rely heavily on weapons when I fight, like kunais and bombs. [And her speed, but that little' tidbit can be a secret for now.]

A specialty in weapons? That is similar to the specialty of my teammate, Tenten. But I suppose you are right. Although there is always value in the secrecy if ninjas, this is a unique place where utmost trust and teammwork is required for survival. [He strokes his chin thoughtfully.] Perhaps I could tell you about my forbidden taijutsu maneuvers.

Oh! I know Tenten. [This makes her happy. People from Tenten's world kinda interest her. All the fighting styles and such.

She quickly bows.] My name is Ran Fan. It is very nice to meet a teammate of Tenten's.

[She takes the mask off as she stands back up.] I would very interested in seeing your maneuvers.

[He returns his own formal bow.]

It is an honor to meet you as well, Ran Fan. My name is Rock Lee. It's great to see that you have already met my teammate. As for my skills... perhaps I can show you through a simulation. Because these maneuvers involve opening the chakra gates on my body, I should not just use them so openly.

It would be an honor to watch you again. [Seeing how he's a friend of a friend, Ran Fan is going to extra polite.] I will be happy to show you what I can do as well. However, I don't possess the same skills as Tenten does.

Thank you. [He smiles cheerily at her.] But that is fine. It would be unfair of me to judge you by the abilities of my friend rather than by your own merits. [He heads over to set up a simulation.] Should I set up something random, or do you have anything specific in mind?

Random is completely fine. It'll have surprises, and we can see how each other reacts.

[She kinda likes Rock Lee already. He seems like a good kid.]

Of course. What better way to test our abilities as ninjas than through that which cannot be predicted?

[So he sets up random settings and opens the door to the room for her.]

[Oh wow. Opening the door for her? That's really polite, and something she's not used to.]

Thank you.

[She walks inside, taking out a kunai. There's a smirk on her face because she kinda likes showing off her skills.]

Ready when you are.

[Well Lee is composed of politeness, so she's gonna have to deal with it. He smirks at her, getting into his own battle position.]

I simply observed manners. I am quite ready, Ran Fan-san, and I wish you luck.

[The setting takes on the form of some kind of dark, obscure basement with a series of stone pillars that don't seem to be providing actual support to the ceiling whatsoever. Sitting against one pillar is what appears to be one massive suit of armor.

But for the moment, there are two enemies that appear: armored figures who have DOBERMAN FACES but you can't see them yet. Each has a big blade. Once they become aware of the ninjas, they begin their approach.]

[Ran Fan takes a quick second to put her mask back on, and once it is, she charges. She doesn't get too close though. She uses her kunais to judge it and see if she can find a weak spot, but not finding one. This is going to be more difficult than she thought.]

[Lee immediately dashes forward towards the same Darknut, being mindful to avoid Ran Fan's kunais; working with Tenten has given him some practice at this. The Darknut moves forward with a bit of a hustle and tries to bluntly slam its sword down at Lee. Lee quickly shifts himself to the side and charges forward to try to deliver a kick to its chest; but he bounces back, with his foot making no impact on the armor.]

[Ran Fan notices the sword, making sure to avoid it at all cost. That thing would probably knock her out with a single hit.

There's one thing Ran Fan that the Darknut seems to be lacking, and that's speed. She makes her way behind it in order to stuff a bomb down its armor. And luckily, she's able to get away before it can even make a grab for her.

When the bomb explodes, the Darknut falls forward, it's helmet fall off as well.

This small victory makes her smile under her mask. Finally, a weakness.]

Ah! Great job!

[Lee dashes forward and jumps up to give the Darknut a kick to the face. Saliva sprays from its animal mouth as it staggers back, but this is not enough to knock it out. The second one begins rushing over at the same time. Lee stops to assess the situation.]

It would seem there are vulnerabilities in the armor!

[Ran Fan nodded in agreement.]

Then we'll have to strip them of it.

[Right away, she notices a tie on the back of their armor.] Can you distract them while I get their chest piece?

I most definitely can! Now I shall carry out such a task to the best of my ability!

[He dashes forth quickly and tries to run between the two Darknuts. Dodging their blades is easy enough, although there are some closer calls when both attack him at the same time.]

[She'll work quickly then, taking a kunai to cut through the rope that held the armor together. It's takes a few minutes, but she cuts the rope.

The second she is finished though, the Darknut spins around to knock her away. The blow lands, sending her flying back. But she really isn't hurt, so she's back up quickly, a bit annoyed.]

They should come off easily now.

[He looks over towards Ran Fan in concern, which causes him to get knocked in the other direction. He still hears her message.]

Thank you, Ran Fan-san!

[He rushes forward at the fastest he can manage with his weights on to get behind the Darknut that she just got the restraints of, and she delivers a kick to his back. This is strong enough to make him heave forward, and pieces of his armor manage to fall off.]

[While Lee deals with that Darknut, she takes care of the other. Now that they knew what to do with it, she was able to handle fighting it with more ease. Still wasn't the easiest fight, but now she has a plan.

It took some time, but she was able to get its armor off. And once it was off, she just attacked, using her speed to to confuse the Darknut.

Surprisingly enough, without its armor, it wasn't a difficult opponent. It surprised Ran Fan to watch it fall so easily.]

[The armor is loose enough that Lee can dash by to pull pieces off. Of all the times the Darknut tries swatting at him, only twice is he knocked back.

Once a satisfactory amount of armor is stripped, Lee quickly appears in front of the Darknut and kicks into its face while bracing himself on the ground with one hand. Lee then quickly propels himself into the air near his Darknut and unwraps some of the bandages binding his arms, quickly enwrapping the Darknut with him.

And then? It's time to pile drive the weirdo in the ground. Knocked out cold.]

[A smiled form beneath her mask. Gotta admit, she was proud of herself, and Lee wasn't half bad either.

But they weren't done. There was that other thing in the room. She wasn't sure what it was, but it had to be there for a reason. So even though she was happy they defeated those dog-things, she didn't take her guard down. Kunai still in hand, she got into a defensive position, ready for whatever that this was to do whatever it's going to do.]

Is that all of them?

[It takes Lee a moment to catch on; but the larger armored figure comes to life, wielding a large sword that it swings around, decimating the pillar it was standing behind. It then begins its own slow advance.]

[Right away, Ran Fan went into action. She was running out of bombs, but she wanted to test and see if the bomb would hurt this enemy like it did the others.

While it was slowly moving forward, Ran Fan approached quickly. However, she couldn't get close because it started swinging it's sword, and there was no way she was going to let that thing touch her. So she had to wait a bit longer before approaching once more and jumping up and over the enemy to drop one of her last bombs down it's armor. Hopefully that will do some damage.]

[And... hey, it does do some damage, and a few pieces of armor fall off. Rock Lee has trouble getting closer, as he winds up being too distracted by avoiding the sword swings.]

Excellent job, Ran Fan-san! Can you keep it up?
