Greetings, people of Luceti! My name is Rock Lee. I am a ninja from the village of Konoha, and I am also known as the "Green Beast of Konoha". I have been here for around two months now, and I am ashamed to realize that I have never made a proper introduction over the journal. Please forgive me for being so impolite. I assure you all that, as I have served Konoha in the past, here I shall also risk my life to protect any of you from threats, to the greatest of my abilities!

Although most of my time is dedicated to my intense and vigorous study, being caught in the springtime of youth has also made me inclined to constantly seek out new bonds to form with comrades. I anticipate many a new friend, so please converse with me! Lastly, let me tell you my 'way of the ninja': I believe that when it comes to abilities, "hard work" can overcome "genius"! Please, tell me what you think about it.

[Lee can be come across almost anywhere, as his daily jogs take him all over the place. He will spend a majority of the day training at the Battle Dome, however. Feel free to observe and approach him as he constantly sets up new simulations for himself. All this simulated training is the closest to the effect of an addictive drug that he'll be experiencing.]

Hey, hey, the way I see it's a different thing, riiight? Shikamaru is a genius, Katara was blessed with powers, and Aang-kun is a prodigy. The likes of me and apparently you? We need to work ten times as hard as those people just to keep up. Even Shikamaru works twice as hard as a normal person and Katara probably works a good six. The world's just not that fair, hm?

This is true. But I suppose after all these years of hard work... I do not look at the world so harshly. All these barriers are obstacles to be overcome through all of that harsh training, and I have come to relish these obstacles. And it will make it so much more satisfying when I can prove myself through all my hard work.

Hoooo....

I'm getting there myself. That is, I'm starting to really relish surpassing every limit I thought I was capable of and hoping to catch up to someone who's been blessed with power or blessed with a natural set of inclination or talent beyond a person like me. Of course, for me... I'm starting to wonder if I'll hit the limits of what it is to be "human" before I'm able to overtake the prodigies in my life.

I have not known you for long, Masaomi-kun, but I am proud of your progress and your approach towards this self improvement. But this is no time to give up. Especially in a place as unreal as this... it is possible to keep striving and pushing at that which seems to be the limits of being human. Maybe you shall find those limits are much wider than you believe. Of us hard workers, surely at least one of us should find a way to best our corresponding prodigies.

Even a mundane ninja's got an advantage on a normal human but... how about you tell me how you've been doing it? Maybe while we do my training system together?

I would be glad to help you, Masaomi-kun. Many doubts I would normally have are dismissed by the fact that Shikamaru-kun has mentored you. I still do not feel comfortable revealing... all of my secrets thus yet. But there are still some helpful lessons I can impart. So let the two of us train together as youths!

Actually, yes. It's one of the cornerstones of my work out plan.

Nope? I wouldn't even know where to get ones of those which are convenient.

I see. Well my first tip to you would be to look into them. If you cannot find them at the store, perhaps the smithy or some other service can help you. Either weighted clothing or weights that can be worn under clothing can work quite well. For when you train in other gravity levels, you adjust to the extra output only for a limited amount of time. But weighted clothing will make it like living in a higher gravity, so you shall always be prepared, and your speed can become so much sharper.

Weighted clothing feels like higher gravity? I feel like the air feels different in high gravity, which is a super unique experience. Not that I'm doubting you... but we should continue this in person, shouldn't we?
