[ Yu pauses, looking vaguely concerned. ]

I wouldn't want you to get hurt.

Ah, but I do! ...Or rather, I do not mind the possibility!

I happen to be very formidable, sir, and I like to throw myself at any challenge head-on!

Formidable? You mean you're used to fighting? What kind of background do you have?

[ Inside he's thinking: what kind of life must he be used to if he wants to fight Izanagi? ]

I am a ninja with a background of hard work, and I am in the springtime of my youth!!

[He does some swift punches and kicks at the air to display his resume.]

[ A ninja........

Yu watches the punches and kicks appreciatively, but even so, Izanagi's magic is not for the faint of heart. Maybe if he had his Persona hold back on any kind of magical attacks... ]

Alright. Maybe just once. But you have to promise to let me heal you if anything goes wrong, alright?

[Then why'd you use him as an elevator bro???]

Yes!! [He pumps a fist through the air excitedly, but then he clears his throat as he remembers Yu's existence and his demands, and he nods.]

Yes, of course. After I complete this spar, you may do whatever you want with me.

[ That phrasing is also not for the faint of heart.

Which Yu apparently is not, since he seems unbothered by it. He nods and summons his Persona anew. Izanagi reappears, as looming and imposing as ever, and Yu himself backs out of the way so the two can fight.

At the last second, something seems to occur to him. ]

Ah, there's something you should know...

[Your face is not for the faint of heart

And this time, it's Persona.

Rock Lee looks on in determination as the looming and imposing figure appears, with every intention of meeting this enemy head-on. He doesn't even hear Yu, because he almost immediately goes into a battle cry.]

HRAAAAAAAAAAAAAUUUUUGGGGHHHH!!!!

[And then he dashes forward swiftly to deliver a flying kick directly to Izanagi's Izaface.]

[ The kick will land, and Izanagi will actually go flying from the force of it. So, too, will Yu, with something of a choked sound. Persona and user will mirror each other in the way they right themselves, though only Yu will hold his head as he does so. Both will stretch out their right arms as if to hold Lee at bay, but it's only Izanagi that leaps into action, whipping that huge sword he carries around to smack Lee with the flat of it. ]

--ah. Too late.

[ Yu straightens up, giving his head a shake, wondering if every kick will be that powerful. ]

[Rock lee has just enough time to recognize the mirrored movements before he gets slapped back by Izunagi's flat end.]

Oof! [He's thrown back a bit, but he quickly regains his footing.] You two fell as one... Whatever bond you share, it's truly heartwarming!

Like I said, he's a piece of me. We're connected, including during battle. But it's alright. Keep going. We're ready for you.

[ Yu straightens his stands, and so does Izanagi, with the Persona twirling his sword. Come at him, Lee. ]

Is that so? Then, if I am fighting both of your convictions at once...

[He tightens a fist dramatically.]

...Then I'm not sorry!!

[He then runs forward, seeing if he can get around that twirling sword do some more damage.]

[ Yu himself stays well away from the fight. He hasn't got his sword, and something tells him that he wouldn't be a match for Lee under any circumstances. He can fight off Shadows if he has to, but he's no kung fu master. None of them are, except for Chie, really.

Izanagi is, of course, another matter. Yu is careful in his commands; he still doesn't want to hurt Lee, though he may learn that pulling his punches is unwise. The persona still fights with the flat of the blade only. He brings the spinning sword around lightning fast to again swat Lee away with it like he would a bug. ]

Ack! [The move is fast enough to swat Lee back! He's winded and thrown back, but he lands on his feet. He immediately starts to run forward again with renewed determination, to try to get another strike in on Izanagi.]
