[He is startled to hear the truth.]

That sounds very unfair! Hajime-san, you should not be a prize to be won... and I refuse to believe that someone as skilled as you could truly lose this game!

[He gives her a thumbs up.]

I will not let you down!

[And finally he turns to face the stallkeeper.]

Let me take your challenge head-on!!

Well, I'm more of a crafts-y person than a game-y person!

[But no, she's not that bad at ring toss... at least, human ring toss]

Right, it's three credits for five rings.

[The shopkeep waits for the money before handing over the rings, which seem ordinary enough... as do the poles he's supposed to throw them on. It couldn't be that hard, could it?]

[He nods in understanding.]

We all have our strengths and weaknesses, Hajime-san. This is true!

[And then he nods as he presents the credits to the stallkeeper.]

I will do my best! I am ready!! [He seen takes his first ring and throws it right at a pole!]

Go for it!

[Hajime watches as he throws the ring towards the pole and it looks like it's about to go right on.... until the pole next to it suddenly reaches over and slaps the ring out of the air, right back at Rock Lee.]

Ah, boo....

Ack! [He quickly ducks out of the way of the ring and then looks back at the game sheepishly... but mostly undeterred.]

Ah... That was a very unique challenge! I will try harder this time! [Now he tries throwing his second ring towards one of the other poles!]

[This time, the ring makes it onto the pole easily enough... except it catches fire as soon as it does. By the time it makes it down to the base, it's nothing but ashes]

Does that one count...?

[The shopkeeper grumbles, then shrugs] Half a point.

Half a point! [Rock Lee cheers and delivers a thumbs up, apparently undisturbed by the ring's flaming fate.]

This is progress, Hajime-san! We will make it there soon enough!

I guess that's better than the first one... [Hajime doesn't look too convinced though and the shopkeeper just snorts]

Hmmm, maybe try to aim for that little one in the back?

That one? [He nods and a sparkle emits from his eye.] That seems like a good idea!

Thank you for the cool tip, Hajime-san... Here it goes! [He throws it straight at that one she indicated!]

[As soon as the ring starts flying over the poles, all sorts of sparks and flames and ridiculous things start happening. The ring bounces off several poles that reach up and try to knock it away, sending it careening off the stall's ceiling and several sudden fountains, and both Hajime and the shopkeeper have to do their best to dodge everything that's going on, before finally, miraculously... the ring lands on the rod next to the one he was aiming for.

The shopkeeper lets out an audible breath of relief.]

T, ten points...

[Rock Lee's eyes widen in shock and awe as he witnesses that incredible display.

Then, finally, he raises his arms and cheers.]

Ten points?! Yes, I did it! Your hunch worked, Hajime-san! Hooray!

[Then he settles down and glances towards the shopkeeper.]

Is... is that enough? Did I win?!
