[ Rock Lee seriously is too supportive.. but he likes the flattery, so of course Shinpachi will eagerly suck it up all the same, a grin on his face. Which ends up being a grin directly aimed at the other once Rock Lee lands in front of him like that - he doesn't even flinch at the way the other lands there. Not much that can faze him in battle situations by now anymore, he's used to other words having weirder ways of fighting than just sword battles. ]

Yeah!

[ It's not really cowardly when they have the upper hand here - it's more just that this would be a pain to deal with and wouldn't do any good at this point anymore. Shinpachi can't even spot any people left who'd still need saving.. ]

Take it from someone who's lead troops before and trust me-- it'll be easier if we just get outta here right now while preparing ourselves for what's waiting for us out there.

[Lee will do his best to be supportive of such a hot-blooded friend! He stares at Shinpachi for just a moment, before he nods and pulls back, doing some flips backwards and dropkicking another enemy.]

Very well! I trust in your wisdom and your experience, Shinpachi-kun! And... I will do everything that I can to clear our way towards this exit!

Great-- then you go ahead.

[ It has nothing to do with Shinpachi not wanting to take the lead or being a coward or anything.. It's just that it's easier to protect Rock lee that way if something goes wrong. If the other is trailing behind him, then he might not know if something is wrong until it's too late - so it's easier to cover him from the back. ]

I'll follow right after you, no worries! Just go straight to the exit!

[Rock Lee nods firmly in response.]

I trust you entirely, Shinpachi-kun! Please watch my back... while I watch our forward! [Then he starts fighting his way forwards towards the door.]

[ He's a guy that lives up to his word! So yes, of course he's going to follow Rock Lee instead of abandoning him to this-- he's making sure to keep an eye on the other as they move, but obviously he has to split his priorities between that and taking care of the ones that are still in the way as they pass. Thankfully it's pretty easy to hold off the untrained NPCs with his own sword, but then when they get outside..

.. well, a sudden heatwave hitting them isn't exactly what he expected. Sure, the NPCs seem to have been left behind for them by now, but staring straight at the jungle that's suddenly there in front of them? Well, it's enough to make Shinpachi blink twice. ]

What the hell is this place's problem?

[ It's not like he isn't still familiar with ViViD from the last time he was here, but.. geez. A jungle? Really? ]

[As they move outside, Rock Lee places a hand over his forehead to see properly through the sudden burst of sunlight.

A jungle... Well, Lee once took a ninja exam that basically involved fighting in a forest, so this is not too unusual a sight for him. He offers Shinpachi a bright smile.]

It seeks to challenge us and to push us past our very limits, Shinpachi-kun! Are you someone who gives up easily?

H-hey, I'm not like that! You know that!

[ He has to sputter a little when his manliness is being questioned here, okay! Never let it be said that Shinpachi Nagakura isn't the most manly guy in all of history, that's the position he's going for, okay.

It's just.. there's a difference between fighting cool and honorable battles that decide the outcome of politic shifts for all of history and running around in a fake jungle, okay. Some slight difference. ]

I just didn't ask to immediately be challenged like this.. geez. [ He lets out a sigh, but shakes his head. Fine! He can't lose in spirit to Rock Lee here, right? That'll officially make him an old man. Sano will never let it go. ]

Let's just hurry up and find the exit, you never know what kinda ridiculous thing they might have hidden in here.

I know that! But I had to renew your resolve! [Lee smirks knowingly as he glances towards Shinpachi.]

The best challenges are the ones that are unexpected! That is what I think. [Lee is just ready to barrel through whatever comes their way, and excited to be able to do so with Shinpachi. He stands ready for anything.]

Yes, let us race in reach of an exit! We should both do our best!
