[The smile does help to ease him a little, but it's not enough to completely ease his concerns. Still, he manages to focus on her questions for the moment. If he hadn't been here for half a year already, he would be even more confused by this virtual space than her.]

You are right. This is not much of a game at all! Ah... but I do not think we will have to wait long. It should be less than a day! And, even sooner if we can clear one of the game's objectives!

['Less than a day' is not a great option, but it's far better than a week, and she curls her fingers against her mouth thoughtfully. She almost hates to ask, given the way things have been going thus far, but of course she must.]

Then... what would those objectives be?

[The first thing that springs to mind is participating in the wholesale slaughter all those other seem so eager to get into, based on that man's speech, but she has no intention of accomplishing that objective, even if it does happen to be demanded of her. 'Virtual space' or not.]

It... it depends on the game. It seems that - the horrible game that was mentioned by that man may be one objective. [He admits wearily, with a shake of his head.]

But all ViViD games also have some sort of a 'boss' to fight as well. If we can find and defeat such an enemy... It will be a quicker way to complete this game.

[Her expression darkens, settling into a resolute sort of grimness. No, that's not an option, objective or not. The way she phrases it is gentler, but the tone is firm.]

Well, that's no good.

[In other words: not going to happen. As for that other option, some of the tightness ebbs out of her expression as she considers it. ~~This really does remind her of the way Sora usually tackles worlds.~~]

Could he be the boss? That man, I mean.

[Because that's almost definitely how it would be where she comes from. Had 'Bad Guy' written all over him.]

[His eyes widen as he considers that idea.]

The man who made that announcement?! I... I did not consider that! Normally, the boss is some sort of monster... but in fact, it might truly be that man! We should investigate! [He shifts in place and glances back the way they came apprehensively.]

The same. [Her lips press together as she watches him process it, however, and as for investigating - she doesn't quite take to the idea immediately, if only because she's apprehensive of that glance the way they came. Surely he's not thinking of going back...?]

How would we do that? If I were him, I'd be hiding somewhere as protected from everyone else as I possibly could.

[With so many others around to do her dirty work - but then again, she's not him. Just because she'd play it safe doesn't mean everybody would... and he did seem like the sort who'd want to see what came of it all.]

[He looks thoughtfully a little more and then he nods.]

That is true! Perhaps he would want to seek out a hiding place. ...But, would he not also wish to view the games he has started? He might not have gone far!

[Shoot, he realized the same thing. She was half hoping he wouldn't. It isn't that she doesn't want an end put to this - she does, of course - but she's reluctant to encourage her new companion toward such a dangerous prospect. Why'd she have to open her big mouth?]

Maybe not, but-- that would probably mean going back toward where everyone else is, too. And I... don't think they'd welcome us with open arms, if they found us.

[In other words, please don't go on a crazy suicide mission, new friend.]
