[So it's the third day of Lee's rigorous training for Alexei and he's beginning to questions Lee's methods. They were training down at the barracks and while he mostly understood why he needed to do them, his demands were...rather outrageous. The weights he could deal with, his ear grating youthful speeches he can tolerate....2000+ push-ups in one set? That's inhumanly impossible.

By his 50th push-up Alexei about had it and was sitting to catch his breath] This is...ridiculous.

[Lee is ordering him with a newfound determination while he goes through the same exercise at a much more rapid pace.]

Is something wrong, Alexei-kun?!

But...are you really certain you want that many push-ups?

However, I am absolutely certain that your body needs to exceed such limitations in order to achieve truth growth! Such is the path of a youth.

There is such a thing as over doing it. It can cause the opposite results.

I do not believe such a thing from my experience. Every limitation is merely another obstacle to overcome! You must utilize your "guts"!

But it should be a gradual process. Pushing yourself too far can end up destroying you.

But only death is a complete destruction. Anything else one suffers... It can only make you stronger in the long run! And perhaps even allow you to access untapped areas of your springtime of youth, my beloved pupil.

A majority of my lessons revolve around that principle, yes. After all, it is the energy that pushes us and makes us beautiful.
