Sixth Gate: Rock Lee's Springtime of Love [Action/Written]
[Action]
[Lee had been going about his daily routine as usual - or seemingly so - on this brand new day. But there were some omissions he had not noticed; he did not check the journal to see if Sakura had any new messages, nor did he look out for her at all as he ran throughout the village. And then? His jog came to a sudden halt as he caught Izumo Kamiki out of the corner of his eye. He found himself collapsing to the ground with the sudden rush of feeling.
Those eyebrows... why had he not noticed how beautiful they were? And immediately, he thought of other things that suddenly seemed compelling about her. The way she cared for her fox, the romance novels she seemed interested in reading... There was no choice. He would have to romance her. So he ran off to the flower shop and the library to make preparations.
Later that day, Lee could be found jogging through the village in search of Izumo. The difference? He is now balancing a titanic vase on his head, which is filled with dozens of flowers. On top of that, there's a romance novel sticking out of the pocket of his flak jacket. He is young and in love, and he couldn't feel better.]

[And at some point in the day, Lee sees fit to write a simple message in the journal.]

I do not know what happened to Sakura... or truly what I saw in her. So much about her... it now repulses me now to just think of it. What is attractive about her? Well, the way she's drawn to romance, I suppose! And - and the way she cares for animals is another plus!

I didn't think she was heartless but are you sure she's a fan of romance? She seems kinda cold to me, Lee. [ I mean, she only had one conversation but they seem to be similar in personalities, except Izumo is more gruffer and has more brow to flaunt.
What is with Lee and his taste in women with unusual forehead qualities?! ]

That is only the appearance she puts on! There are matching characters in the novels of romance I've found near her person. Women who must appear cold in order to make it in a man's world, with everything to gain and nothing to lose! But underneath that exterior beats a warm heart which yearns for the touch of the aloof boss! Izumi-san has such a heart... so my heart believes!

For at least a good ten seconds, she just kinda stares at Lee with a slightly empty smile. That description sounded suspiciously like her... except the touch of the aloof boss... Well, the beginning part about a man's world. Eh. Lee was close enough. 5/10, better luck next time, etc. ]
I'm pretty sure she's cold because she's naturally like that, Lee. I'm also sure she doesn't really need the touch of an aloof boss. And it's not like you could ever become aloof anyways, Lee. You're one of the most hot blooded people I know!

Well, first of all, you only want to refer to the heart, mind, and soul when dealing with specific body parts. However, referring to body warmth and feelings and "butterflies in your stomach" are perfectly acceptable.

[ She sighs. ] You know when some ninja say to other ninja they're going to "kick their ass" right? [ She does little scare quotes around the phrase. ] Well, they beat each other up. They don't literally kick each other in the butt. It's like that. It doesn't happen, but, saying to Izumo, that she makes you feel warm or something is a way of complimenting her appearance.
