First Gate [Video/Action]

[The video feed suddenly kicks in with the sound of rushing winds and the sight of a blue sky. And soon, falling into view is bushy-browed teenager with a bowlcut, confusion and panic written all over his face.

Upon arrival, Rock Lee and his book open have begun freefalling through the sky to towards the village. Lee keeps his eyes focused on the open book and pushes himself through the air to get a closer look. Just enough to tell that it's some kind of communication device... and that it seems to be recording his face, and his movements.

Can they hear him, too? A million thoughts rush through his head. What happened? Where did everyone go? Why am I floating through the sky? Somebody help me down! But... if people could see him, he wouldn't want to look weak, would he? He's Rock Lee, after all. The Green Beast of Konoha. He can figure out a way out of this.

What would Gai Sensei do?

So he opts to force on a smile, one full of shining teeth, and he flashes a thumbs up towards the camera and shouts as loud as he can.]

DYNAMIC... ENTRY!

[Lee can find his way down. After all, his training weights are gone. He feels so light.]

[Action]

[If anyone misses out on the high-paced action, they can find Lee after he lands - either traveling to the item shop for his headband, weights and equipment or to the clothing shop for his valued green jumpsuit and vest. He'll also jog around to survey the village and some of the forest afterwards, eager to greet his new neighbors in the process.]

GOTCHA! LIKE A NET!

[He's definitely got this. One handseal later, and there's a ton of shadow clones on the roof. What was a normal roof was now covered in orange and black, and the shadow clones were tossing themselves up in the air in different directions.]

HERE WE GO! READY WHEN YOU ARE, BUSHY BROWS!

[Video -> Action]

ALRIGHT, NARUTO-KUN! HERE I COME!

[The gate is opened, and Lee can feel his strength and speed increasing. With this boost, he's able to push himself through the air in the direction of the building. He aims himself right at the first Naruto clone he sees and bounces off of it at full power, bouncing from it to the next-nearest Naruto clone. Using them as stepping stones and ways to wear down his momentum, Lee makes his way towards the roof, the book now closed and tucked into his pants.]

[Horror spreads on Naruto's face as he watches Lee race towards each shadow clone in the air, each clone displaying that very same look of horror as he approaches. Maybe a little more horror, because despite their whole purpose for the day being a stepping stone, they're still only human and still feel pain for the moment before they explode into small clouds of smoke. It's making Naruto wince with each clone's demise.

Oh, and they're wailing in pain because Lee's steps are like kicks from an elephant.

Lee, please don't land on the real Naruto.] Geez... that was you're idea?

[Action]

[Rock Lee soon reaches the roof and just narrowly soars over Naruto's head to land on his feet behind him. He raises his hands in victory and cheers.]

THANK YOU NARUTO-KUN! I MADE IT!

[He doesn't seem to have noticed the lack of rushing winds to shout over.]

[Action]

OI, I'M RIGHT NEXT TO YOU!

[Look what you did, Lee. You got him shouting all loudly again. But he's glad to see you, man. He really is.]

[Action]

[Lee's so glad to see him too... that he misses the point and goes in for the hug.]

YOU ARE, NARUTO-KUN! YOU ARE! AND I AM SO GLAD TO SEE YOU ALIVE! I WAS SO WORRIED FOR YOU ALL WHEN I HEARD YOU WERE FIGHTING MADARA, BUT HERE YOU ARE, ALIVE AND WELL!

[Says the guy who just casually murdered his multiple clones.]

[The remaining clones disperse the moment Lee hugs Naruto, with the latter grunting under his breath. He was not expecting a brohug, he can just... awkwardly pat Lee on the back.]

O-OI, I HAVEN'T DONE ANY OF THAT YET!

WHAT DO YOU MEAN, NARUTO-KUN? THE LAST I HEARD OF YOU WAS YOUR HEROIC BATTLE AGAINST MADARA ALONGSIDE GAI SENSEI AND THE OTHERS!

[Wow, they're just going to keep going aren't they. Bet they didn't even notice he came up here. Sighing.]

[Which turns into a deep breath and then-]

SHUT THE HELL UP!

[It's almost like his "shut up" didn't bother him at all.]

[He releases his hold on Naruto and turns to face Shikamaru, waving happily.]

HELLO SHIKAMARU-SAN! WHAT WAS THAT YOU SAID?

He clears his throat and starts over.]

People can hear you guys for a mile. Tone it down.

[Maybe it's for the best if he quiets down anyway. His throat was starting to hurt.] We were havin' a reunion!

[Lee finally gets it.]

Indeed, we were! Still, I apologize, Shikamaru-kun, for disturbing your peace. Do you know where the rest of the army has wound up?

[So Lee's ahead of them too, huh?]

It's troublesome to explain... [Sigh. Okay.] Think of it as a pinwheel, where every blade represents a different point in time. You were on one, and we were on another.

We've fallen off those edges, though, and are now situated at the axis. A place where those separate times can meet without moving.

Yeah... [Naruto knows what Shikamaru's talking about and he still couldn't really follow that. He sort of did, but it reminded him of that complicated explanation he got back during Sage training.

And now he's thinking about ice cream.]

So there are people here from all different kinds of times? What... kind of place is this, then? And... what times are you all from?

This place is pretty complicated, takin' people from different worlds and times and stuff.

So... it is true, then? Neither of you have reached the war, yet. This can truly bring people from other times... and did you say other worlds? And this is definitely no trick?

No trick, no genjutsu. To effect such a wide-scale, the details of this world are too elaborate.

That the people here come from other worlds makes more sense than any other theory, by comparison.

[Lee's already spoken to some on the journals, Shikamaru saw. He might get an idea of what he means.]
