[she tried to squirm away from the vines, even to whip at it, but more just kept grabbing at her ankle. once lee was close to her, he was able to cut through the vines. once they were off of her she immediately stood back up, irritated to all hell.]

I'm about to whip every last plant in this goddamn garden...! [so stupid! but, she was grateful he at least helped her... but she wasn't going to say thanks, so sorry!]

[Once she's free, he straightens himself back up and faces off against the vinnes!]

[minatsuki wasn't one for partnerships at all, but at least this way they would get out of here easier. with her whipping and him using his kunai, eventually they created an opening.]

There! [and she wasn't making sure he was following, she was simply running ahead and through the opening they both made.]

[While Rock Lee is all about teamwork, so he even looks a bit thrilled as they take on the vines together.

Once the opening comes, he's quick to action.] Yes!

[He hurries through the opening, but he makes sure to trail slightly behind her to make sure she doesn't get caught. But just as he moves out of the opening, a few more vines shoot out and wrap around both of his wrists from behind, trying to pull him back.]

[and just when she thought the two of them were going to get out just fine. she heard him yelp from behind her and she stopped to look over at him.

...actually, she looked at him, then back at the party before looking back at him again. she was clearly debating leaving him to the swarm of vines- and she definitely could, however...]

Hey! I don't care if you get personally fucked by all these vines- just do it after you've follow through with our deal!

[...yeah, she wasn't going to leave him. she had clearly gotten much softer, she used to be the type who would leave someone behind. but! she jogged over to lee, whipping at the vines again with her branch of sin. once he was free she grabbed him by his collar and pulled him roughly away from the plants.]

[The vines did it for him.

Lee did panic in the moment and felt a bit of fear as the vines tried to reel him back; but he didn't doubt at all that she would help him.

Her words didn't really phase him either. He smiled brightly when she came back to him, and as she freed him then tugged on his collar, he went along with her movements swiftly.]
